George Cleans Sparkplugs in 1974 Cessna Paul Riding BMW motorcycle around the airport: George fixed a fuel leak and cleaned the spark plugs in "Ol Bessy."

I drove the BMW around the grounds. Photo by aunt Cathie. Had to make a few passes she kept saying, "Is this the button?" "Is this the button?"

Nice, it sounds homey getting involved with their lives and such.

Maria: Yes. Dead on. I nearly feel like part of their family and I told Cathie that.

Hi Paul,
Why is George cleaning and not replacing the sparkplugs and 'fixing' a fuel leak? Does he have his A+P license? He cannot afford to clean the sparkplugs on an airplane, because any cleaning method implants impurities on the ceramic core, sure to cause midair fouling. New sparkplugs cost too little in comparison to the end results of increasing the risk of cAUSING midflight engine failure.

Fixing a fuel leak? Does he have his his A+P? Even so, he is using the services of a fool to service his own airplane!

Safety is formost, because airplanes are the safest form of travel. Ambulances with lights and sirens on is statisticALLY the most dangerous vehicle on the road.
